Britney. I've always been a fan of hers - I guess thats why now its difficult. I always longed for more artistry from her & I thought post-conservership we might see that. Instead its some What Happened to Baby Jane? figure. I know the conservership has done irreputible damage to her but its so hard to root for someone who is making bad choices - if anything, worse than 2007. 2007 was quite bad ass. Now its just worrying.

I get nostalgia is a big part of promo for her this era but I do hope it stops & the focus is on the new music

Controversial but I'd say Little Mix. It was a tactic by their label I guess to keep the single success but I'd say 80% of their singles were collabs. Obviously Shout Out, Wings, Black Magic, Touch & Sweet Melody were collab free but Woman Like Me, Power, No More Sad Songs, Only You, Confetti…

Only 3 of these are when the album was out though? And one is about the adhd diagnosis.

I think the internet overeggs peoples success. Midnight Sun (song) has exceeded its expectations but its still not done amazing (outside the UK). I think she will be one of those artists that does well here & now. She should look to move on from the album with a strong single to continue success, with a new album next year.

It's been very odd. Promo this time around has been beyond limited. I thought she would still manage a top 25 album on name/fanbase alone. Like she did a sold out US tour 2 years ago & it was all arenas so this is all sus. But yeah - hardly any interviews, any performances. I was surprised she didn't do any signings or fan events as she normally does. I can't imagine Epic dropping her. I'm sure during Timeless she said she'd extended her contract with them. I just wonder what happens next. Obviously the last time she underperformed, they rebranded her back to doo-*** (Treat Myself era).

Yeah Joshua Tree is one of the only good songs this era, alongside Ghost.

She needs to have a strong new single ready for the eventual deluxe. Midnight Sun has done ok - its not taken off as such - but its still exceeded expectations

I don't get how this did so bad in the UK? Shes had a seemingly loyal audience here though shes not a done her own show here since 2015.

It's interesting that the Treat Myself era made her go back to the doo-wap sound however except Made You Look, she has had less success than that era. I just wonder why she doesn't seem to connect with people.
