I would say Taylor Swift and put Beyonce in parenthesis for the US instead. Taylor's massive internationally now and Beyonce stats outside the anglosphere are mediocre (with the exception of touring).

I mean Shakira was at her prime in the 2000s. That is when she was at her biggest.

Beyonce was actually bigger in Europe for some time in the 2020s, but Dai Dai is a bigger hit in Europe than any Beyonce song from the 2020s (and Shakira historically performed better than Beyonce in Europe in the 2000s and half of the 2010s).

Shakira in most of Europe and Latin America, Beyonce in the anglosphere. This has pretty much always been the case. As far as East Asia is concerned Beyonce has historically been bigger there, but Shakira is likely bigger there now because of Zootopia 2. Im pretty sure Shakira is bigger in West Asia, but I could be wrong. Africa is very region dependent.

Is she much more part of the zeitgeist than Shakira on a global level? In English speaking countries sure, but that is not the case for Spanish speaking countries. Outside of English and Spanish speaking countries I'm not sure.

She obviously had to cancel the Middle Eastern dates. She could have easily toured France, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, etc though.

Shakira is the only female Latin artist to have two top 10 hits in the US with songs completely in Spanish. Also, Croatia, Greece and for the most part Switzerland are not Latin speaking countries. I wouldn't consider Switzerland Southern Europe either. BZRP 53 also did well in Hungary, Lebanon and Luxembourg

BZRP and TQG did well in Italy, Croatia, Switzerland, Greece, Romania, etc. TQG was certified Diamond in France. Both broke the US top 10.

Is Bad Bunny Global: Yes Is Bad Bunny More Global than Shakira: I want to say he is currently more global than Shakira, but certainly not overall. Only Madonna and Rihanna could be compared to Shakira's global fame that she had from 2001-2014 among female artists (and maybe Taylor presently).

She announced dates to tour India and the Middle East but had to cancel because of what's happening there now.

La Tortura was a top 10 hit throughout continental Europe.

Shakira was huge in India at least though.
