Time of Your Life by Mariah Carey 😭✨- Will we ever see a gay main pop boy?
His name is Hason! From Los Angeles, opened for Ricky Martin at last year's LA Pride. Here's his music, website is hasonsparty.com https://youtu.be/Z69F-j6da2M?si=72Fy38AYd53xzc38- Songs where the verses ate but the chorus fell flat?
Song is a smash, however Sexxx Dreams. To me, it's so sexy and mysterious in the verses followed by the over polished chorus. I still eat it up, it just wakes me up from the fantasy the verses paint. The demo bridge is so 🔥.- Albums that showed no artistic growth from its predecessor
SZA for me, SOS felt like the same insecure woman with different beats from CRTL- Do you remember this bop (one-hit wonder) from 2000?
I discovered this track last year on a twitter thread, such a jam! Wish I knew about it sooner <3- Heaven on Earth vs Unusual You vs Trip To Your Heart
Unpopular opinion, Trip to Your Heart has an amazing production, lyrics that land, invented hyperpop, and still has the dreamy feel of the other two amazing tracks. I'm not sure if it's even Britney on the song, but an incredible song nonetheless. HOE is next for me, it's so fresh still, and Kara Dioguardi on the credits, yup! I believe Gaga's favorite Britney song is Unusual You.- What is Britney Spears' quintessential album?
My bias is Blackout, but outside the stans it's definitely ITZ. It has Toxic, a classic, and developed her into a woman (Britney album in purgatory as in a limbo not being a girl, not yet a woman) and a Madonna/Yang Yang twins feature? Yup! Wonderful era that propelled her to further greatness. The topics in the album also help us see the growth in her artistry and maturity. It has sexy tracks, amazing non bubblegum pop tracks, production + lyrics are strong. I love Blackout, however ITZ needed to happen for Blackout to exist.- Was Judas the correct 2nd single afterall?
I think Judas is a wonderful track and wouldn't be a single if it wasn't released that Easter weekend. Timing is everything and Haus of Gaga was active during that time and they probably thought it was genius - also the brat ideology of taking a photo of the single art with her phone lol without her on the cover. The Edge of Glory is a safe song for the era which is why I think it was successful (released on my bday hehe), and its heartfelt message made it bigger too. I think interscope should stop getting in the way of her single choices (DWUW, for example - instead of Venus) but Judas coming out at the time it did, superb timing considering it still ended up top 10! It was a hiccup, but I do think it fumbled the era in regards to GP reception (like the horns weren't already lol) however, it set the tone for her career.- Do you listen to "Die Young" by Kesha in 2024 ?
I don't seek the song, it just finds me! Whether at the club, or walking by stores. I will always jam out, no question. Makes me the happiest camper, she did a release party in Hollywood when it came out and performed it, my first concert - so I definitely have a soft spot for this song.- Does Gen Z prefer Katy or Kesha?
Kesha's always been the underdog, and considering Cannibal and Backstabber have gone semi-viral, people will latch on to Kesha more over Katy. Kesha's music electrifies, Katy's Pacifies. - When your fave excludes the best tracks from the album
