It was definitely big, but I would say so far in the decade, Stay (Kid Laroi and JB), and Flowers have been bigger.

I think she will be fine. I honestly believe that she could've been bigger, but she is going to follow an Avril Lavigne trajectory which is completely fine. She used to be more popular but being honest I think she being weird with Taylor Swift played a role in her decline. Swifties were all over the place supporting Olivia when she first came with Drivers License/Deja Vu/g4u and although material stuck with the gp for being good, swifties helped her with those debut numbers and a lot of hype. I assume several swifties still like her but she is not being heavily supported by the biggest fandom in the world anymore. Also she came around a time when Taylor was releasing songs that didn't connected with the radio much. She'll be fine, obviously she peaked but she will get hits every once in a while, and she will be able to keep touring because she is talented. She also can always go back to acting. What I mean is... she doesn't need to be the biggest artist in the world.

Honestly I wasn't aware of her but she SLAYEEEEEEEED SO HARD. Who is this girl and why she was under my radar? Can we actually make her successful? She served ART.

I honestly enjoy her personality. She needs to engage more with her core fanbase on social media and appear more relatable. Then she also needs a collab with a big star to be in the radar again (Look at Post Malone now getting hit after hit by singing with B, Taylor, and Morgan).

Thank you, this is what I'm realizing right now. But well... is happening to me, and it will eventually happen to everyone. Now I realize that there are several hits this year. Perhaps the list of number one singles on Billboard this year is not really reflecting that.

Agree, it seems Expresso is really shaping up to be a real smash hit and I can see how "Not Like Us" is also shaping a cultural moment. "We Can't Be Friends" and "I like the Way You Kiss Me" are hits but I wouldn't call them smash and they are serving nothing for the pop culture (No diss, love Ari and I like the song).

Not sure if it's only my impression, but by this time (Summer), we've already had inescapable hits in all previous years. Nothing this year seems as big when it comes to culture. I know some songs like "Texas Hold 'Em," "Beautiful Things," "Loose Control," and "Fortnight" have very good stats, and there are songs that may become big such as "Expresso" or a Kendrick track, but we don't have anything really big. Is this only my impression, and I'm getting old, or do you feel the same way? Is the general public less interested in music this year? What are your thoughts? Also, it seems all the big artists already dropped their projects. Are you expecting someone to serve an inescapable cultural moment in the upcoming months?

At this point Ludacris and Lil Jon are a given. I cannot explain why, but my gay gut feeling is telling me Nicki as well (They won't do their song together but a middle of her hits).

Honestly this feel wrong for many reasons. Specially you supposing that any latin music in Spanish is salsa. Camila is dancing a song from a totally different genre. Hope you educate yourself better before doing another post like this.

I just feel 90% sure she's doing a Selena Gomez feature for 1989 TV.
