Joe Budden claims Camila x Drake is to distract from racist past
LOL! @ all these white people "accepting" an apology from a racist. She wasn't being racist against y'all, so why are y'all "accepting" her apology on our behalf? That's like being punched in the face and then some random stranger walks up to the person who punched you and says, "I forgive you." Like...what???

Zach Bryan - 'The Great American Bar Scene'
Does anyone have the first day streams for this yet? He released it on July 4th (Thursday), so it should have already debuted on the Spotify and Apple charts.

Headliner SZA performs to an empty field at Glastonbury
Meh. Sza sold out a bunch of arena shows in London with her latest tour. She'll be ok.

Sabrina debuts new Spotify payola: only top listeners get access to top presale seats
I'm...actually kind of ok with this. At least true superfans will get access to the tickets.

Why do you think Bey is worshipped the way she is?
There's A LOT of reasons. Powerhouse vocals, impeccable dancing, electrifying performances, forward-thinking visuals, beauty that has wide appeal, and a willingness to incorporate important social issues into her music. Plus, she's been functioning at 100% for over 20 years. The worship is deserved.

Katy caught following alt right account
Damn. Maybe Taylor was right.

Save Your Tears (original) reaches 2 billion streams on Spotify
One of the few current main pop boys who's worth a damn.

Why is Ariana's new era doing so poorly on Billboard Hot100?
I feel like none of the major pop girlies really slayed this year when it came to singles. Sabrina is the only outlier. None of Dua's singles did well in the US. Texas Hold 'Em felt big at the time, but now it's hype is gone. Both of Ariana's singles lasted only a few weeks in the top 10. And Fortnight is already out of the top 10 as well. Country, folk, and rap are REALLY dominating this year. The pop girls are fighting for their lives.

UK newspaper calls Taylor's music "uninteresting, repetitive and entirely basic"
Fans, critics, and journalists need to start demanding more from pop stars. The beauty of poptimism is the belief that pop can be important, innovative, and forward-thinking. But the artists themselves aren't living up to that. Poptimism has made pop stars complacent and I can tell it's starting to frustrate pop fans/critics who TRULY believe that pop can be more than what it currently is. TTPD was lazy and Taylor knows it. That's why she's been so hell-bent on releasing dozens and dozens of variants to increase her sales. She knows this album hasn't lived up to her expectations and she's trying to drown out the lukewarm reception it received from critics. She's capable of better, but her current success doesn't inspire her to do better.

Taylor drops signed UK photo cards in attempt to block Charli from #1
All these cheap tactics are just Taylor's way of distracting people from the lukewarm reception TTPD received from both critics and the gp. Fortnight was a weak single and people aren't really responding to it. Critics and the gp are beginning to slowly tune her out and she's trying the compensate by manipulating the charts to make TTPD look like a bigger cultural moment than it really is.

which musicians are praised for being excellent but are just being weird/eccentric?
The absolute BLASPHEMY being spewed in this thread.
-
How would you rate Beyoncé's level of talent?
Honestly? 10/10. She's a phenomenal vocalist, an amazing dancer, and an electrifying performer. Each of her albums have their own unique sound and concept and she does a great job incorporating important social issues into her art. The lady is a literal GOAT.
