  1. Okay, Miss Cara, I see you. Bring on the album.
  2. Just from the song title alone, I knew exactly what comments to expect in this thread lmao
  3. I thought she wasn't „allowed" to make an album like she said in her interview with Zane Lowe not that long ago?
  4. It really is baffling to me sometimes how a tiny little song can cause page-long discussions - or even inspire lengthy, pseudo thought provoking articles like the P4k review. Objectively speaking, it's a perfectly fine tune that is catchy, but barely long enough to make any sort of meaningful impression. It being the opening track of the album makes sense, so I guess I'm looking forward to hearing the whole record. As for now, this is something I'll maybe listen to once in a while and skip other times, and something I don't see myself having any major feelings or opinions about - because with 1:55 minutes, there frankly isn't that much there to have an opinion on to begin with.
  5. Yeah this desperately needs a single. I really don't get the point of announcing a big pop album 2 months in advance and then going completely radio silent. It worked while she was on the Eras tour, because that gave her a lot of exposure almost every single day, but this time around it just feels strange and a bit unsatisfying.
  6. Wasn't there massive drama surrounding this album? Like stuff being stolen etc? Maybe someone could fill me in on what happened lol
  7. With her sort of marketing this as a return to her big pop eras, I hope we get a single soon. Having her usual no-single rollout would feel weird for an album like this.
  8. Not another era of Swifties expecting the most drastic genre shift lmao. Jazz? World Music? Lbr, this is gonna be a pure pop record - especially with Max Martin involved.
  9. I'm guessing the album is called Godmaker?
  10. This is absolutely incredible. I'm actually speechless. Odin St was already a 10/10 and now this - really goes to show how working on an album for this long can lead to some real magic.
  11. Yeah… this is not doing it for me at all, sorry. I'm kind of heartbroken, but I don't think this era is for me. I was and still am obsessed with WWT, but MOTY and now this just went in the one ear and out the other. They just feel so undercooked and unfinished. Glad y'all like it tho.
  12. Huh? Where did she say that? And is that the album or just the next song?
  13. How short is it? I hope this isn't like an interlude?
  14. Omg it's actually happening :o I'm a bit shook that this is still the lead single, but it's also impressive that she's stuck to her vision all these years
  15. Totally agree. Even tho this era is being hailed as this supposed return to form after the underperformance of Solar Power, I'm getting the exact same vibes again. Not musically, obviously, but the way she talks about things feels just as detached, aloof and unapproachable as last time. Pure Heroine and Melodrama were so great, because - even tho they were obviously very artistic, deep and thoughtful projects - the albums and eras as a whole were so relatable which is what made them such roaring successes especially with the fans and cemented her as an all-timer. I'm not feeling anything like that this time around. What Was That is a great song that brought back a lot of memories and emotions from the PH/Melo days, but aside from that song, I'm really uninterested in this album cycle and am failing to get anything relatable from her. Melodrama was a record for people in their early 20s and has accompanied me through a lot of life events, but I don't see Virgin touching me on such a level. But hey, that's just my opinion - I'll still always support her and celebrate the music. And maybe the full album will hit me the way PH and Melo did, so I'm open to being surprised.
