RAYE - 'THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.'
I Know You're Hurting is probably SOTY... I've tried to fight it, but the music crescendoing and her voice hitting those high notes is just... superior to anything I've heard all year. Absolutely incredible.
- Peggy Gou & Ayra Starr - "Wo, Man"
-
Dagny - 'Dancefloor Erotica'
Really pleasantly surprised by the entire album. Rain is THAT girl

LÉON is alive (and back in the studio)
Idk, she teased studio work on her story back in 2024 and look where we are now... hopeful, but I'm not going to put too many eggs in this basket quite yet
- Moyka - Icarus
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Now who is this "we" you speak of?? ES is easily her best album to date. Maybe you're confusing it with Positions?

RAYE - 'THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.'
I can appreciate the grandness of this album: her incredible vocals, the musicality, the booming orchestra on every single song, the storytelling that ties each song on the album together... but I just don't think this is an album I will be revisiting as often as I would've hoped. I don't know how to explain it, but it feels more like a "movie" and less like an "album" if that makes sense? Not a bad thing in the slightest because it's an incredible work of art, but I guess I was just expecting something else, and that's on me tbh My favorites on first listen: I Know You're Hurting, Goodbye Henry, Skin & Bones, Where Is My Husband (duh!), Fields, and Joy

Slayyyter - 'WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA'
One of those rare albums where every single song is peak perfection. I can see myself skipping the Prayer interlude, but my god this is easily AOTY it's incredible
-
Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'
I thought you were over exaggerating, but yeah it's baaad. The album is still enjoyable but how am I supposed to sing these songs in the car when I can hardly discern a single word

Robyn - 'Sexistential'
Wait, is there an original demo of Blow My Mind out there somewhere?? Edit: Oh I'm an idiot lmao, it's from her 2002 album. Clearly, I'm a more recent fan of Robyn and had no idea. Listening to it now and WOW the difference between the two is really fun to listen to!

Slayyyter - 'WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA'
DANCE... is arguably one of her best songs she's ever released (imo), so I'm excited to finally sit down and go through this entire project

Upcoming Releases
How Unoriginal must feel knowing they don't have to update this thread a million more times
-
Leigh-Anne - 'My Ego Told Me To'
Is it confirmed if there's a J*sy revenge song on the album? Need a full trio of songs from the girls ending her, after Natural at Disaster and Same Place Different View.
-
AGNES - 'BEAUTIFUL MADNESS'
The new songs that aren't interludes or previous singles are decent with my favorite probably being Uterus & Universe, but still hard to not be disappointed when we wait years & years for a new Agnes album and half the album is just skippable interludes.

JADE - 'THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! THE ENCORE'
THIS! I was really just praying that Use Me made it into the setlist, but this is honestly a major disappointment that only Church was. Like, girl... shouldn't you also be advertising the deluxe version on this tour??
