  1. You are not changing my mind with a Wikipedia article, honney. I know EXACTLY what I said and the funny thing is you know I'm right. Her numbers dont translate to cultural impact at all.
  2. Not really, she has lots of fans. But I always feel her "eras" are somehow a flop, to be honest. Only 1989 seems truly succesfull to me. Their grammys, their record sellings, and her called "success" always feel a bit diluted because yeah, she has that, but does she really has IMPACT? its like only their fans are the ones consuming the product. Taylor seems unable to translate this success to the general public in a shape of impact; it's as if her work is obsessively consumed by a certain number of fans but it doesn't actually achieve a real status. It's like the smoke of a fire seen from a distant mountain. Nobody will remeber anything about all these albums in 20 years, not even 10. 1989 is the only time in her career I felt she really went beyond that.
  3. Whats problematic is people not realizing this profile is AI 😂 Then theres this one, which is actually real, but TONS of people are claiming he is not. Which is probably the weirdest and best compliment ever. https://www.instagram.com/oqmethod
  4. I wont participate cause I dont have the time to rate every single song but I HOPE Let England Shake get the attention it deserves. Justice for The hope six demolition project too!
  5. This new song is the final blow. Sonically has nothing to do with what we heard from the album, the edm vibe and beat is hideous. She really wanna please the gays with this album, you can tell, but its all over the place, I feel she is so lost its cringey.
  6. Not surprised AT ALL. This si truly a good album, the references are amazing, specialy coming from a disney channel girl. Im truly surprised, wasnt familiar with Olivias game. Some songs are amazing, everything sound so 2000's indie yet so pop at the same time, it's very well crafted, the artistic and musical vision is so clear. Listening to it felt like being a teenager again and discovering Of Montreal or any other cute indie group. I really liked it and Im so glad she is having success with it cause i think it was a risky move for someone like her.
  7. I dont know, but i feel like she will probably beat Mariah's record at writing the most forgottable numer #1 songs
  8. Overall I think Jlo has had more hits and a longer career than Xtina. But somehow Xtina had more impact in terms of pop culture. Defined a pop decade with Britney. And its actually a better artist than Jlo. Still Jlo wins. I think she managed well to survive along different decades with her singles.
  9. Yeah when its not hidden behind a wet glass, her hair or a stunt double (the table scene) her face is super enhanced. But thats not the point. The thing is the message I recive from her is inconsistant and incoherent. Everything screams a bit of desperation while she tries to convince me she is a liberated 70 y.o woman. Im not buying it, sorry. But i dont expect any Madonna fan to understand it and much less to think I may be right.
  10. Not at all. I feel only her fans are the ones truly excited for this. I fear the rest of the world will stay on the sidelines of the hype. The main problem are the songs, but listen, also the visuals. The forced autoreferences without adding a new layer, the constant "cool girl" vibe is hideous, how she hides her face as much as she can all the time in the video, all the cameos from famous people ... what is that? A Katy Perry video from 2015 with a hint of avantgarde? Its giving art degree final project. The light pu$$ies, yeah we get it you are a Bad B-tch Madonna, super edgy. So nah, not hyped. Not me, not the world I fear. Look at the numbers, only her hard fans are streaming.
  11. So? Should I be posting here every day to prove my point? I think its enough doing it once in a while. Sometimes I remeber I love pop culture and cant help to post here and share my opinion abou the state of things.
  12. I gotta say I really love the song. Its not that I think its a HIT but its a great melancholic sound and suits her very very well. The melody is formidable. Not a big fan of the video tho. Ive always struggled with Ariana downtempo songs. Im more an Into you, Break Free type of occasional fan but this one is a 10. Well done Ari
  13. Finally she is realizing who is her fanbase collaborating with this movie. Kids and loser millenials who watch Toy Story
  14. The mastering on all of these new songs is horrendous. Her voice is like pasted there. You can sing BYL all over the song btw. Durong the Times Square event you cant even tell its a different song

I'm worried about me LOVING the How bad do you want me Requiem version I promise you I loathe the album version. But the Requiem one sounds like an absolute different song. I dont know whats going on. The badalamenti chords during the first verse and the way she sings it makes it sound like a psychodelic teenage dream. I think she did something special there, and I need her to explore more in this direction. The whole Mayhem is really good, specially HBDYWM, DWAS and PC
