  1. You dont know how it feels is a standout on Night for sure, god damn. What a beautiful melody in the verses - so much soprano Carly on this album and its slaying me
  2. Day was ******* special. That was her most consistent and high quality 12 tracks since EMOTION. I've gotta replay it before I move onto Night, god damn. This listening night is giving my first time listening to the EMOTION jp leak! I need more love for Good Fine Alright, she's special.
  3. Oh this is... actually just an instant bop ear worm and its interesting too Good for them!
  4. I am so excited for this album and in love with this song. I do like it as a song but its just so nice in general to see someone in pop have such AMBITION!!! (I'm also a classical/art-pop girlie so its a bit catered to me but I digress) Glad to see its success too, and hope Rosalía is happy with it as well.
  5. TAYLOR LIKE MICHAEL JACKSON? It's giving hes never heard his music and knew nothing about him, help. Also poor Lily catching strays like what...
  6. Blade of Grass is carried by how perfect her vocal affect is for the tone of the song... It's what we should've had with Dope/IWBWY and other 'theatrical' voice ballads in her career and feels like a progression from The Fame era style. Not getting talked about enough. The melody isnt like top tier for a Gaga ballad or on the album but its really hitting me today.
  7. Logged in first time in forever to say this is probably her actual strongest album since BTW. Good day to be a monster if you still identify as one
  8. She has a great voice, and seemingly a good ear for pop based on this album + the recent single even though the album isnt perfect or anything. I like that her music is pretty much just fun for funs sake alone and not trying to be anything deep but her being queer and having a camp aesthetic in mind is a cherry on top that is resonating with people as well. I think its a net positive on music/culture when people like this get famous/have a moment in the spotlight, there's clearly something about her people are gravitating to, and its more significant than having a few #1 radio hits or anything. Will it last/will she break into mainstream mainstream? Who knows, but right now its just fun to see her rise and hope she continues to be successful
  9. No, but even if it did it would just fuel her narrative building even more unfortunately. Her musk era
  10. Exactly. I remember saying that the biggest mistake about the framing of Biden's victory was that it was about him, that he would act as if people were excited for him, insulated by press and his team, instead of accepting the reality that he was not an exciting candidate - as shown in nearly every single debate and the entire primary season where everyone - including Obama hoped someone else would win He's always wanted to be president, basically but hes delusional and no one likes him except neoliberal party insiders who frankly, should be more concerned about him obviously flopping but then again those people also support the republicans as long as the wealthy stay in power so, who cares. Him still running now despite the clear signs, the way he spent no time of the last 3 years trying to bring up someone new or young, him even sending Kamala to drown on immigration back in 2020... What a legacy he will have made for himself.
  11. This is miles better than everything on In Pieces (except Body Do, a holy bop) Much better than I expected based on the title, love that she's still flexing and its got a nice melody.
  12. They both served I was honestly in for just the first half being gorgeous but whewww the changeups
  13. Snippet sounds great. A.G. seems like a good co-producer for them, adding but not dominating their sound at all in everything they've put out together so far.
  14. Save: Kintsugi Grandfather OFF: Let the light in peppers the grants paris, texas
  15. SAVE: Kintsugi Grandfather DYKTTATUOB OFF: The Grants Let the Light In Peppers
  16. SAVE: Kintsugi Grandfather Margaret Taco Truck X VB OFF: Let the Light In The Grants Fishtail Candy Necklace We're already at the point where everything but 1 in OFF is something I'd save
  17. Kintsugi has the best chorus on the album "no melody" "lack of melody" etc. are the most cringe worthy and 99% of the time false critiques... just say you don't like it
  18. SAVE: Kintsugi Grandfather Margaret Fingertips Sweet OFF: Let the Light In Fishtail Candy Necklace The Grants Peppers
  19. Grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he's deep-sea fishing is pure euphoria, its like a spell is cast on the listener cuz I've never believed Lana more than in this song
  20. Chemtrails over the Country Club Norman F***ing Rockwell Honeymoon Blue Banisters Born to Die Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Ultraviolence Lust for Life Her title tracks are all slays, some of her best works minus LFL studio OT: Fishtail is a grower but its not going to top anything else on the album except the interludes and Let the Devil In I'm afraid
  21. Just another folk song but anyway... I try so hard but that's okay The way Kintsugi has some of her best lyrics, one of the best melodies of any of her ballads in the chorus, and one of her most nuanced vocal performances all in one... haters are REALLY losing on not getting it and need to let the light in ASAP
