I don't really listen to his music much before but I'm glad I gave this a chance because it's excellent Not sure if anyone else is picking up on it but certain production elements are giving me Yeezus vibes (obviously in a more upbeat/danceable and less overtly abrasive style)

I thought her debut album was alright but I absolutely loved Perverts... tentatively intrigued to see what this project holds

And for what it's worth, I wasn't even a huge fan prior to this album but even I had heard from her fans that she's been hugely into ambient/slowcore/drone music and has been expressing her love for it openly and releasing that type of work on her SoundCloud for ages Sad that she even had to clarify these claims after chronically online people put words in her mouth because they refuse to engage with the work meaningfully and acknowledge the artistry and effort that went into it even if it's not to their taste

I just finished my first listen of the album and it's an early contender for AOTY in my opinion I didn't want it to end honestly I enjoyed her first album even though it wasn't really something I revisited much, but I knew ever since I heard Punish that this project would really pull me in and would be a huge shift – for the better from my standpoint, although I know that's an unpopular opinion among people who don't like this sound/genre (which is fair enough as it's definitely not for everyone)

COCC and Honeymoon have always been my favorites

I thought The Voidz album was actually enjoyable and the reception was unfairly marred by the controversy over the use of AI to create the cover art I mean it's a conversation worth having but I found it odd how much criticism they faced and how strongly it affected the response compared to others who have done the same

These are my two favorite Lana albums overall, but COCC has a slight edge for me

Sorry if this has been asked/discussed before but what were these snippets from and is it available anywhere? I love this album (both the standard and deluxe editions) and it's one of my favorites of the year but I'm a bit disappointed we never got these because they sounded really promising

Drama of Exile by Nico I actually love this album and it's one of my favorites but I can never listen to it without thinking of the backstory behind its creation The people working on the album and people from Nico's record label were stealing master tapes back and forth because of money disputes, the album had to be re-recorded and two different versions were released, everybody involved was on drugs and spiraling, one of the people involved was so affected by the whole ordeal that he developed a drug addiction and died of an overdose, another person died shortly afterwards as well because of anorexia... it really is sad and disturbing https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drama_of_Exile#

Definitely my favorite album of hers (tied with Familia) but it could have benefited from cutting the interludes and the random Drake solo and adding a few more tracks It's a shame that her rebrand and the poor promotional rollout and choice of pre-release songs have overshadowed the music
