One of my favourite things about midnights is how she manages to pull off the cheese in a way she didn’t during Rep/Lover. Like Bejewelled is arguably campier and more juvenile than Gorgeous, but it so catchy that it completely works. And some of the lyrics to Karma are skin-crawlingly cringe when written down, but the whole song is so euphoric and fun she gets away with it. If rep-area Taylor had tried to write that song it would’ve come off try-hard.

This. I completely understand the frustration with the glitchy website and the codes and whatever, but it’s just not that deep. And even if the website ran seamlessly, there are a finite amount of tickets. Not everyone who wants to go can go, short of touring the US for like 2 years straight there’s no way she’ll ever reach demand.
