Growing up I used to think Gwen was one of the coolest and most unique pop girls ever, but looking at her now I really wonder how much of that was actually Gwen. The biggest thing for me is the difference between Gavin-era Gwen and Blake-era Gwen. With Gavin she was this super fashion forward pop star obsessed with Japanese fashion and culture. Then she gets with Blake and suddenly that entire identity basically disappears and she's this country ranch girl doing duets with him and making an album like Bouquet. But the funny thing is I actually think Blake-era Gwen is probably the real Gwen. She grew up with parents who listened to folk and country music, so maybe this is actually closer to who she was before fame. At this point she would fit right in with the women on The Real Housewives of Orange County and honestly it wouldn't even feel that out of place for her.
