She might surpass 1.3m with Billboard. They weigh some physical stores with 1 purchase counting as multiple, while BuzzAngle/HDD does not.

Wait, why do they count 1 purchase as multiple for some stores. I'm confusion.

Does anyone know if the 1.29m figure is pure sales or SPS?

Some stores in an area might not report to Nielsen, so they could, for example, count every purchase as 2 copies in a store in that area to make up for not having any data for another store.

Oh I see. Does BuzzAngle not count those stores at all or do they somehow get numbers that Nielson doesn't?

They use raw numbers. Stores that don't report aren't accounted for.

I see.

Do you know why HDD sometimes reports higher numbers than BB? Based off of that, HDD's should always be lower.

The same reason why their digital song sales numbers somehow differ despite iTunes being responsible for 99% of digital song sales, so in theory they should receive the same numbers. Strange stuff.

ooh bitch, my prediction was right (https://blackboybulletin.wordpress.com/2017/10/17/will-taylor-swifts-reputation-open-with-over-one-million-pure-copies/) I should've entered the ATRL contest, ****

You have two different predictions:

Quote

If she does a tour bundle I predict her pure sales will range from 1.05 million – 1.275 million; if there is no tour bundle and no further promotion before album release week, 895,000-1.15 million pure copies. If there is promotion/a strong new single before/during album release week, 950,000-1.2 million. We’ll just have to wait and see!

If there is promotion and a strong new single before/during album release week, 1.275-1.35 million. We’ll just have to wait and see!

That's obviously huge and an amazing number, but mess at her team saying it would sell over 2M first week :deadbanana2:

UK: 46k first day, 84k full week

US: 717k first day, around 1.290M full week

Similar pattern I think, the album is just pretty frontloaded

Oh! It was SPS numbers. Oops! is 90% safe, then.

Her team and every publication really overestimated her by a lot.

Yeah. BBs could be quite different tho. She might still beat Britney, or she might be under 1989. It's all so close!

The thirst for someone else to surpass Britney's numbers, though.

Britney, adele and taylor will remain the first week trinity for females either way

90% yes. It seems, very  very unlikely that Billboard will report 53k more sales.

What record?
you mean Adele's 3M+ record.

What is safe is Adele, Britney and Taylor remain trinity.

Whether it's Adele then taylor then Britney or Adele then Britney then Taylor they remain above the rest for first week sales

When people say "Britney's record", they mean her second place among females with highest first week sales.

It's also no longer a Britney record as of November 2015.

Let these 3 phenomenons achieve above the rest in peace...
