Sure, if you listen to stuff illegally through mp3 for instance but streaming pays the artists (however little) so you're platforming and supporting him financially.

I mean, you kinda have a point with streaming = money for them = supporting, but the actual amount of money they would get from my streams is literally minuscule, so I don't see this as much of a support.

There's an argument to be made that

A) Spotify has invested millions in AI powered combat drones and military software. Not to mention the ICE ads.

B) While obviously not all of them are sa abusers, most artists are not the good people they're pr trained to pretend to be, the rich are never going to be on our side.

We can pearl clutch about MM and stuff but our monthly subscription contributes to this **** directly. More than streams do for artists. If we're going to actually worry about platforming and giving money to bad things, we should walk the walk, me included lol.

Let's not.

Most of my lifetime-faves are cancelled at this point, but I'm not going to defend them on ATRL (or drag anyone else for listening to people who have done bad things)

On-topic, I hope this song is as good as Assassination Chapter 1's singles

I think Manson is just a little more complex, in general. He never portrayed himself as an idol or someone worth looking up to, he always mocked that type of celebrity worship even calling himself a "born villain." He wouldn't want people denouncing morality on his behalf

God this album was... not good. Maybe four good tracks. I do not like the albums where he is too wordy, meandering, pointless, narcissistic and just unnecessary. SAY something. Now, of all times, (even considering that these are 2023 leftovers) there are more important things to talk about than revenge, ego, and allegations.

That said, we did get some good music videos but this, like Born Villain (2012), is an album that makes me roll my eyes more than anything else. We need Pale Emperor Chapter 2 instead.
