Anyone else really feeling this diva and/or this song lately? She's really honed in on the minute aspects of humiliating yourself on the internet and generally being a weirdo and I just feel like she's tapped into the "don't kill the part of you that's cringe, kill the part of you that cringes" energy which we all could use more of instead of being a hive mind social media person.

i LOVE her. This and Bowling Alley (and honestly that whole album) I really really enjoy! She's really talented and I'm excited to see where she goes.

Partly I relate to the twitchy neuroticism of Thirst Trap, that sense of there being a time before when things were ok and then some dumb sh*t happens that you really ought to be able to cope with and you fail completely. But also, this is so well put together: my list tends towards things that I think are great records rather than amazing bits of writing but this in particular is a real songwriters song (the solo version she does is esp heartbreaking but there's a sax solo on the OG! Imagine that!)

but also, no thread without the acoustic version! definitive take! (kinda need to get the vinyl of "who's the clown" now it's out over here too)
