Most of these bands chose pretty weak names and feel like they're just imitating groups that already exist or used to.

 

That said, Soulidified stood out with the most potential, and definitely the most marketability. I'm genuinely interested to see where they go.

I wonder if I'm the only one who actually loved Soulidified as a name. It gives me a bit of Destiny's Child flavor, idk if it's because it rhymes or because they have a song called Soldier. But still the Y2K R&B-ish Pop vibes are there 

I really need both R&B and western girlgroups/boygroups back into the mainstream so the promise of them is kinda exciting for me.

i don't  like shade. He seems overly cocky on social media and is already talking about his solo career and they haven't even dropped the first single. Also he was promoting another group he is  a member of as of a few months ago. 

I also hate the name but they were my fav on the show. I really like Landon

i sort of like the name since it sort of describes their sound on the show which was soulful. the new song sounds a little more late 90's pop than the early 90's r&b sound which they should do more of.

Full agree. Hate shade already. I dont love them copying 4town for their promo but I might be in the minority there. Enjoy the other 3 members and will listen to the song.  The snippet sounds extremely generic so hoping the full song is better.

he's doing all this to be the weakest singer in the damn group lol
 

I don't mind the promo cause I think they are just following what their fans started with the comparison.
 

I do think this would be a better second or third single. I wanted them to come out with something uptempo. Not a good example due to them being kinda flops but pretty much's first single Would You Mind is the example for the perfect first single for a new group. Wanted them to go more that way for a first single. hope this single still does well cause I kinda like it but need to hear the rest.

Lol yea I know. Shade is just like so frustrating because I really do like the other three. 

 

Im open to liking the song.  The songs mtm put out are more my immediate preference, especially ghost of us, but im willing to support and listen to all the groups.

I listened to MTMs songs I didn't really like them. They sound like a less vocally talented version of 1d and ed Sheeran. Ironically what knockoff harry styles said is true about them "I've seen that before"

I was worried it would be too Landon heavy based on the snippets but it's really not.

Yeah I don't like him at all. It feels like he's not that serious about the group, and he's also the weakest member so if he leaves I hope the 3 continue.

My favorite new group from the show  They are SO good.

these boys could be huge if they play their cards right

I LOVE this song 

 

the ONLY nitpicky think I have about this song is the transition from pre chorus to chorus. They use the boys harmonies and added in white noise to build energy to the chorus. They use a common transition with a clap on the first beat of the chorus. The problem is it's so far in the mix it sounds weak and kinda weird. Had they made that clap louder it would be better.  But I only notice that because I'm a musician with mixing experience lol

 

i saw that the mixer posted a three hour video of him mixing the record I'll watch that later tonight for fun 

Didn't watch the show but heard the snippet multiple times on socials and thought that it sounded promising, but didn't expect a proper pre streaming structured track, including great harmonies and bridge, which also lets each member have their moment to shine.

They better keep this up, we need talented and deserving men to dominate the scene instead of whatever is happening right now…

Both them and mtm produced a proper track. I am excited. Ghost of us by mtm is also prestreaming.

I listened to the song again and it truly is a strong debut single that could do something.

this is cute, it reminds me of Crush by David Archuleta or something Jesse McCartney wouldve done

 

i wish the production was better tho, the bass is way too loud

If I say I've played this already 111 times. 

Malik's beautiful run in the end makes me have the song on repeat just to listen to it over and over. And when Landon sings lead in the chorus it just sounds like pop perfection.

I love it so much

I wonder if they're trying to get signed. Doesn't look like any of the bands have any attachment to Building the Band like it happens in other talent shows where they get signed afterwards almost forcefully.

It appears they will stay independent because they like the freedom.
