Just redisocevered these 90s bops!

Featured Replies

Like I know I heard these songs in the 2000s when I was actively listening to the radio and watching MTV regularly, but since then they've been lost to time, until I've started to explore 90s music this past few years. But oh my god they are so good, especially One & One, I immediately recognized both songs and I appreciate them now more than when I was a kid! :WAP:

Do you have any similar experiences of rediscovering old hits you've heard perhaps decades ago when you were a kid/teen, and only now learning the artist and song title names and appreciating them in a way you couldn't before?

In my house we always listen to MTV 90s and my mom grew up in that decade, she is always surprised when she remembers so many songs when she was a teenager.

Makes so much sense. When you have radio and MTV blasting most of the days like I did during my childhood, you ought to soak in a lot of random songs from the 90s and 2000s when radio and MTV were the main forms of music consumption (at least for me). And now you get to rediscover these songs as an adult that you've forgotten but which remains in your subconscious. And honestly, it's so much fun!

Children is a classic :jamming: I also liked Fable from that same album

Honestly the album is pretty great and holds up astonishingly well. I think it's the piano making it sound classy.

Where on earth did you hear this for the first time, like how did you come across it?

I have NO IDEA but it sounds so familiar like I specifically remember the part starting at 0:42 and I came across this album few months ago and I was shook when I heard this song and was wondering where I knew it from...and it doesn't seem like it was a huge hit either, maybe this is a sample from somewhere and that's what I'm recognizing?

"One & One" is a key track that reminds me of going clubbing. I haven't thought about it in a long while.

I'll check out those tracks in the OP

For me it's these tracks:

You will probably be familiar with this one (Lilo & Stitch 2002):
