does anyone else like wednesday here?! indie rockers, bit countryish, bit of a squalid vibe but very tuneful. their last album 'rat saw god' was one of the most acclaimed of 2023 and they've got a new one - "bleeds' - coming out on september 19.

I didn't even notice the single linked in OP.  Just listened, I liked it; a bit more scaled-down country pop. 

excited for this, need to get into their older stuff but the last album was really good!

the 2020 album is the earlier one i like, kinda sludgy and less country but still with quite catchy songs. i think the one in-between is less good imo, more like what they do now but in a less fun way, the last album felt like a bit of a leap fwd

heard the new one on the radio today, more in their gnarlier vibe, i like it

 

 

had a listen to their last album for the first time in awhile and had sort of forgotten how good it is, there are no end of indie rock acts doing the country rock/grunge vibe but she brings a lot of character and tunes to it i think

 

also like that she has lenderman in the band but won't let him write or sing any songs, that's a flex right there
