Ok, so, the album is out in less than a month. Time for an early review 

 

maybe it seems like a risk to compare her to Nilüfer Yanya, but Σtella offers an album full of emotions, but that recalls moments of lightheartedness, sweetness and at times fun.

the production ranges from phases of crescendo and measured rhythms to slowdowns, allowing us to range from moments of "poverty and rough production" to more elaborate moments.

 

Ta Vimata is wonderful, my favorite song, a cadenced and quite fast rhythm, with captivating vocal extensions. the production reminds me of summer moments, of lightheartedness. it's a shame that it's really short.

 

Can I Say, on the other hand, has a soft and slow rhythm, almost respecting the wishes of the album itself. the voice is more subdued, softened by the production. it presents instrumental lengths without vocals. the backing vocals around 1:33-1:40 enrich the environment a lot.

 

80 Days returns to a faster, more driven pace, but wisely modulated by her soft voice. It's not one of my favorites, but still a sweet listen.

 

Too Poor is very similar to something a la Nilüfer Yanya, both in terms of production, instrumental, and vocals. The rhythm remains flat throughout the track, but the guitar strings and slightly metallic sounds enrich the atmosphere. There are parts full of very soft "la la la"s.

 

Corfu is one of my favorites! It reminds me so much of some village songs, like those sung at public events, such as fairs and festivals, or village festivals. It's totally instrumental!

 

Caravan, finally, closes the album with a similarity to "Can I Say", more or less. The rhythm returns to speed up and slow down in specific parts. This is where the concept of "elaborate" that I had indicated at the beginning is found again.

if you like albums to accompany an evening or an afternoon of study/work with a soft and rustic, simple and rhythmic sound, this is for you!

Ahhh. I'm excited for "Ta Vimata" and "Caravan"! I have a feeling that this record is gonna sound so good while taking my walks and enjoying the sunset.
