After the failure of Joker 2 and the accompanying EP Gaga's career has been on a steady decline. What happened to Gaga?? Once a pop hit maker, she is unable to find her balance without the help of a major pop collaboration. Is she DONE?

Having a successful pop song added to a pop album is not losing integrity.

 

These "stunts" that so many on this site like to drag her for are quite literally common practice in the music industry and have been that way since the 70s. It's only an issue though when an artist you like to make fun of decides to do the same. 

 

 

And if this is getting you (and so many in that other thread) bent out of shape, I'd like to wonder how you felt about her team's tactics during 2009-2012.

Is Gaga even original? In her early career she cos-played Madonna. Then she did jazz. Then she became a "hardcore actess". Now she does pharmacy commercials

Also, her last solo smash was 2 years ago with Bloody Mary and before that in 2018-2019 with ARUTW.

Why are y'all mad at her? She's a pop icon and does want to make sure she has bops in her music repertoire. I don't think her adding DWAS to LG7 is a bad thing.

She never said LG7 was exclusively "dark pop", she said it has multiple genres.

 

 

DWAS is a song that she wrote and produced and she's one of the main artists AND it's (or was) a standalone single, any other singer in her position would do the same thing as her.

Let's not lie now. She has pulled a gazillion chart obsessed tactics in the past (even though the monsters will gaslight you into thinking she hasn't)

 

I personally don't think that makes her any less of an artist though but still not a fan of her post-2013 albums

Gaga's career reminds me of Avril Lavigne. They were both beloved at the start/peak of their careers but then they shifted/departed in both their image and musical sound from what the fans/GP were used to. In my opinion, Gaga's voice was more memorable and suited pop music better on songs like Alejandro, Bad Romance, Poker Face, etc.  She made some pretty awesome music that sounded very distinct from others. However, I can't name one single song today she's done outside of that Shallow movie soundtrack. In fact, I can't even think of the last song she did after Born This Way and Telephone. That era was very MID to me as well and didn't hold a candle to her previous albums. Something shifted in her that album and onward. It hasn't been the same again since.

 

With that said, is she irrelevant today? No, but at the same time she's a different Gaga. Clearly she still has fans. I just don't like what she's doing as much these days.
