When Mutya left Sugababes, the new lineup with Amelle still had a successful era (About You Now). It was the follow-up era (Catfights & Spotlight) that bombed and killed the band

Maybe it's because Scientology hasn't been outwardly and virulently homophobic yet, as that seems to be when ATRL cares  

Hiring a new vocalist already feels like a slap in the face to Chester but it feels crass and tone deaf of them to hire a scientologist knowing how notorious that community is for making people commit suicide. Not to mention that the new song sounds like **** and I can't see most LP fans supporting this tour.

On one hand, I've seen discussions about this on the front page of Reddit, so no, it's not these imaginary "Twitter Gays"  that ATRLers often deflect with. 

 

On the other hand, my favorite rock artist is beyond cancelled , so I try to avoid these types of subjects because I feel a bit hypocritical. Scientology is a cult, though.

As much as I love & respected Chester…he was not the only member of the band. It's sad that he's no longer here but the band has a right to move on & continue making music.

 

I think they'll be ok.
