The Halsey Hate is undeserved!

Featured Replies

IMO, it's undeserved.

i understand that Halsey is not that big of an artist outside of her cute radio hits, but the response to Lucky was really disgusting.

Plus it was really sad seeing what Halsey said, then seeing people continue to dogpile on someone screaming out for help (like people often do)

And then queue the people trying to act obtuse saying she's doing it purely for attention, acting like it hasn't been a thing for people to take cheap shots at her since her debut.

Lucky is a really cute, sentimental, melancholic song that I really appreciate from her and I haven't even paid attention to her like that since 2017. It's also a callback to one of the most iconic singles of that era!

The song was Mid. But yeah the hate is a bit much. Idk why people gotta hate and can't just say the music ain't it and move on. She don't deserve the backlash online

I'm shocked at how hard people have been on her even after revealing what she's been through. :deadbanana:

I do not follow her closely so I never understood the hate she got tbh. She always seeemes to have good intentions imo.

She has always been the gays' punching bag and I never understood why. I'm not her biggest fan but I think she has some pretty good songs on her catalog and she seems very passionate about her work

Completely undeserved

Her last album was on of the greatest ones this decade and a very bold move sacrificing commercial success

She's a great artist

The lucky sample is just ok, people are insane by attacking her

Also the lack of sympathy is really really alarming within her fans and other stans

Let's not forget people were coming for her for being open about her mental and physical struggles since her debut. Making fun of her miscarriage, endometriosis, etc…

Absolutely nobody should be "hating" on her. I think as music fans we have a responsibility to break it to her gently (and I do mean gently) on her socials that her latest music is lacking a creative spark and that she should align herself with some solid writers. Not necessarily the expensive kind, just the good kind.

idk how anyone can hate her?  Honestly people will hate anyone for anything these days.

i honestly don't get why people hate her so much, like what has she done that made people dogpile on her even now??

that aside, Lucky is a cute song, but that's it, it feels a little underproduced... So Good was better but still not that great compared to her past songs, her newer work seems to be struggling since her last album was literally one of the best albums of all time. imo IICHLIWP is a direction she should continue
