Can't do anything but give her her 10s. The album definitely was worth the wait, from the production, to the vocal performance, to the vocal stacking and layering she really studied from the greatest and put her own touch into this project. I've been following and supporting her so long and this album really feels like her ! So proud of Normani !

Between 6-7/10. It's a good album, good debut. Tantrums & Little Secrets are probably my faves.

Honestly, it's a 10/10 debut.

This is the first time I've really been tuned into a Normani project, and I liked it so much more than I thought I would Solid 8 for me

Take My Time

It's a good debut and very cohesive, but at points it's cohesive to a point of monotony. 

 

Insomnia and Take my time are my faves.

 

 

It could've been a 8/10 or higher, BUT

 

I wish Big Boy vocals were just a little bit more clear.... She has really weird vocal mixing preferences, especially on Tommy Brown produced ones. Even the fixed album version of Candy Paint sounds like a demo, it's too muddy. 

 

Otherwise the quality & the production of the album is so good, so it's sad that mixing choices ruined some songs.

 

Therefore 7/10

Someone on here compared it to Rated R, and I can't help but agree. Several songs are giving Russian Roulette dark R&B bop, and phew --

8/10.  It's definitely a strong album. I hope she gets the success she deserves.

Hardcore normani Stan's will love this album. But for just casual listeners like me it Just isn't my cup of tea. I do like Insomnia and Little Secrets, hope they become singles.

my big issue is Take My Time which has notting to do on that album.

With as few rnb albums as we can get today, this is a really strong project, EASY replay value as well.

It's an 8 for me. A couple songs I don't care for but overall a great album
