If she is preggers, it's venturing into unprofessional territory now IMO.

 

I'm as pro-woman's choice/rights as they come, but I always like to apply a real-life, real-business filter to the music industry. Because, while it's super-hero-like escapism for many consumers, the reality is that it is a business with loads of players in the mix behind just the artist.

 

So, Cardi's antics at this point are the equivalent of doing a group project and the leader of the group popping in and out, delivering when there only to be absent for large chunks of time after...all the while delaying the inevitable (which in Cardi's case is the fact she has to release at some point). 

 

Pregnancy isn't something that happens to you, you make it happen lol. It's not an illness that takes anyone off guard, it's 99% of the time the result of deliberate action. 

 

Some might drag for the "unprofessional" remark, but IMO it's no different than an actor getting preggers after signing up for a movie that many other people's livelihoods depend on. 

 

So, for her sake, I hope it was food baby lol. Even if preggers, it's not "over" but it'd be more time away at the exact time she needs to be most visible. 

And like others have said, I can see Atlantic forcing her hand to release IOP-style..pregnant or otherwise. Announce/release a single soonish, plus an early Q4 release for the album and a Q1 arena-tour in scale of what Megan has going now.

 

It needs to be go-time regardless of what's in her belly lol.
