She was in one song of Cats (still considered the best part of that train wreck), three seconds of The Giver/Amsterdam, and was rightfully criticized for her role in Valentines Day. People make it out as if she's tried for her own ASIB/HoG/Wicked/TLK/Home or whatever moment and that's just... not true 

 

We'll have to see how her Searchlight film is received, but I don't think she'll pivot into acting or directing after flopping in music (mostly because by that point she'll probably be retired )

Taylor will sell less, as time goes by, but she'll still do well enough. Kinda like her friend, Paul McCartney, whose albums still do decent numbers, mostly in pure sales.

 

As for her acting...career discussed in the thread, I think she could do well, if given a proper chance. After all, she always managed to hold her own in her SNL skits. If only Taylor could differentiate a good movie script from a bad one.
