Teased Von Dutch for eons before releasing, quintessential brat behavior, but also a good way to get ppl hyped and ready for the immaculate SOUND of the era

 

Addison ******* Rae then jumped on a remix with the iconic scream going viral

 

The controversial "music is not important, artistry is" comment taking the online music circles and critics on a whirlwind, what a BRAT

 

The teasing and release of the then-hated, now ICONIC (arguably of all time) album cover. flipping the meaning of pop music and marketing on its head.

 

Releasing club classics/B2b to tease the "vapid" club sound of the record, what a genius move to include two of the most "fun club songs that doesn't mean anything on the surface heheh" to misdirect the audience from the holistic content of the album 

 

Then the release of 360, last single before album release, one of the poppiest on the album, and really the defining and prophetic song of the era revealing charli as THE quintessential underground yet mainstream artist of the 21st century

 

Then the album dropped, ppl thought they were getting a club record, and in a sense it is a club record, but underneath the glittering synths and hard-hitting beats, carefully honed and crafted over years by the pc music/hyperpop pioneers, characteristic of the recession pop nostalgia and nod to the "good times," were layers of charli, and in a broader sense of a pop artist, that in a way had never been revealed before, not at least at this intimate yet brutal scale. The fans went wild, some past nay-sayers or skeptics converted, the never-before-witnessed pop era from a so-called "flop artist" is fertilized.

 

Streams went crazy, charts went crazy, haters went crazy.

 

Brat summer is born, and the rest is history.

 

Can't wait to see where this goes next, and what more charli has up her sleeve. artistry does ultimately shine thru!

I think they count separately (or at least in the UK). It would only count if she added the remixes to the original album I think.
