i'm listening to this now and it's quite a different vibe to the album i think? more straightfwdly folky, less like the more 70s leanings of the album, but maybe that's cos i haven't had it on for a couple weeks and i've forgotten what it sounds like a bit.

 

it definitely gets better as it goes on, the first couple washed over me but force of nature is great

No you're definitely right you can tell the deluxe tracks were made after the album but they're just as good imo

Honestly the chokehold this album has had on me since its initial release. She's truly an underrated talent.

i love this album too. it's a shame that she doesn't have a breakout hit like ceilings on this cos she's come so far since the last record, it doesn't deserve to just disappear in the way that it has.

    Agreed, personally this album is reallg beautiful and ethereal. Songs like 'Staying', 'Soccer Practice' and 'Better Than This' are some of the most mellifluous songs I've ever heard. Maybe this record will be a slow burner
