This album still SLAPS, and I feel like it has an edge over TFM despite being a panned flop. What do you think about this underappreciated gem?

TFM has some of the worst songs of all time (Speechless, Teeth, Telephone), and Perfectionist still sounds pretty fresh in 2024.

I love TFM, but I feel Perfectionist is better. It has no terrible songs like Teeth, and Telephone aged terribly,  yes. 

TFM is overrated by the monsters and it's kinda forgotten now. Speechless and Telephone sound horrible

I think people are entitled to their (wrong) opinion

Both are pop bibles of that era but Perfectionist sounds just as “dated” and doesn’t have the timeless classic Bad Romance so it kinda loses by default 

Even Natalia’s own Trouble is better than Perfectionist lmao

Where did I say that it was more commercially successful or acclaimed than TFM? 

I listened to Perfectionist while compiling a early 2010s playlist a month back and was stunned at what putrid garbage it was. Like damn, I was listening to THIS **** 10+ years back? 

Everything Natalia released was generic and derivative on arrival but as time passes it even sounds worse  

Please. If TFM is “dated”, then Perfectionist is buried deep in the earth’s crust

How can you say Speechless aged when it’s a timeless power rock ballad? That genre of music literally never goes out of style™

 

 

Speechless is also Gaga’s best song OAT. ATRL giving tasteless, as per usual

Perfectionist is nothing but a lukewarm TFM. Perfectionist is good but SHICD clears her entire discography. Monster alone is better than Perfectionist.

Nope. Pefectionist does have good songs too but TFM is still better.

Honestly, yes I do agree. Nothing against TFM, it is iconic… legendary even. However, I believe Perfectionist is a little better in terms of quality, and I also think it aged better. It’s actually the perfect pop album.
