They just cleaned up their TikTok page to remove all the old fan Musical.ly videos. There were dozens of them, so I'm really finding it hard to believe someone went through the trouble of doing that if there are no plans for the account to keep being used beyond this Jonas Brothers performance

Their AI voices sounded good af sining Doechi's What It Is. I think they should go the urban pop lane to stand out and more adult sounds like Kehlani's After Hours

Ally serving body and face was not something I was expecting after her getting dragged last year

The Self Titled thread is one of my earliest memories of ATRL  I need them to do something groundbreaking and unexpecting, the world needs new RAY OF LIGHT!

Yeah this Lauren interview, either she's keeping it under wraps or she wasn't here for a Camila mention during her return to the public eye in a good while.

She's not keeping it under wraps. It's been painfully obvious that Ally and Lauren aren't interested in Camila rejoining the group or connecting with her at all. That's why I don't get why she's getting backlash for saying this now

Probably true for Ally, but I don't think this is the right explanation for Lauren's behaviour. She went through a traumatizing period of time in 5H when she was struggling with her sexuality while an extremely vocal and invasive part of their fanbase was essentially trying to out her in the form of shipping her with Camila. She likely knows that if she gives any public compliment to Camila, those people will suddenly come out of the woodwork. I don't like to overuse the word "triggering", but in this case, it would literally be a trigger for her if that were to happen.

 

She's in a lose-lose because if she's friendly about Camila, the Camren shippers will go feral, but if she's neutral about her like in this clip, she gets accused of being bitter and a *****  But she's already said in past interviews that the girls have collectively healed and moved on from the drama around the split, so I don't think this is about her trying to ice out Camila as a grudge for her leaving.

Well I guess we can agree to disagree. I do think Lauren is deeply traumatized from camren shippers but I don't think her face in the second video is really neutral. Maybe she's not interested in building a friendship because of the camren shippers. Idk. If Dinah was asked that question and didn't see the hearts... her reaction would have been better than Lauren's because dinah is actually interested in a friendship with Camila.

 

I have seen Camila stans on Twitter saying Lauren has liked pictures of Camila in the past but she has only really liked 2 pictures of her alone in the 9 years since Camila has left 5H. One on Camila's page because of the 5H 10 year reunion and one on a make up artist page and when I saw that i thought maybe she was interested in connecting with her but Camila commented on her tiktok once after that and Lauren didn't acknowledge it at all. I actually think Camila's fans give lauren a lot of grace because they ship them because if Normani acted the same way... there would be several viral tweets dragging her.

Well on the other hand Lauren talked about Normani too and praised her! Queens

Well I don't think they would be opening new website and Weverse for nothing. Recently I thought that maybe they're just gonna be more consistent with some Fifth Harmony content here and there to keep themselves on the map while each girl does solo stuff as well. Idk I think it would be smart to make occasional red carpet appearances or performances together and it would help out Ally, Dinah and Lauren a LOT. I think Normani is perfectly capable of standing on her own and doesn't need the group as much as the other girls but maybe she just likes being in the group idk

I don't really feel like dragging out this conversation, but if we agree she was deeply traumatized, we can hopefully also agree that nobody online is in a position to judge how she protects herself from that trauma. The onus should be on interviewers to stop bringing up Camila in contexts that have nothing to do with her, not on Lauren to have a perfect facial and verbal response ready within milliseconds of hearing a question she wasn't expecting that both protects her own emotional state and looks "friendly enough" for what the Internet wants (and spoiler alert: no amount of friendliness would satisfy the people dragging her online right now unless she expressed total adoration and gratitude for Camila, which would instantly activate all the Camren shippers).

I don't think they updated the logo, merch, cleaned the social media and filmed content for no reason. There have been rumors of the band reuniting for the last 2 years anyways.

Even with Lauren being on DWTS, she's still in LA and could probably do 5H related things like record music in the meantime. If Normani could bounce back and forth between touring in Asia and DWTS during her season, then anything is possible.

 

It would be nice to see them at the VMAs in some capacity.
