Fefe's first album in 13 years is finally here! It's short AF but it's here! 

 

She is really rocking out on this one! I love it! 

I gave it a listen but can only get into I Can’t Love Him which seems to sample something that I can’t think of 

I’m a big fan, seen her live at least 3x. Easily her least impressive project to date. F’in In Love is the worst song she’s ever released so it’s some consolation that the rest of this project isn’t as spectacularly bad, if I had to find a silver lining here. But this was very indistinct & unmemorable. Sunday Love & Joy were stellar. I still enjoy listening to them after all that time. She took risks & showed loads of personality. This is an uninspired nostalgia cash-in. She could’ve put Shame on DSPs & gotten more out of that than any of these songs. These songs aren’t deserving of a comeback

I actually enjoyed this a lot. I definitely think Sunday Love and Joy are stronger, but she's still playing around with her sound and adding her personality (chorus of Shut Up and Kiss Me as an example). I do think Fckn In Love is one of her weakest songs to date but the rest of the album is better for the most part. Favorites for now are Shut Up and Kiss Me, Too Late and Dancing For Me but others have potential to grow on me. I think what's here is at least on par if not better than much of Firebird.

I saw her at Toronto Pride this past summer and she was so bad, I was in shock. Mic wasn’t on, her lip syncing wasn’t on time either. Very sad because she’s talented

Yes, yes, yes. Joy is such a fantastic album and sorely underrated

I thoroughly enjoyed this project, and it felt much longer than its' 9-song length (which is good in my books, because I was initially disappointed at the album length). 

Top 2 tracks: "I Can't Love Him (And Love You Too)", and "Dancing For Me". Solid pop-rock writing.

 

Moving forward? What I'm hoping for is a management team equally as hungry as her previous one to get her songs on TV/Streaming sync placements and commercials. Not hoping for a Kate Bush "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)", but I know media/entertainment is where her unoffensive style shines. "Watch Me Move", "I Want You", and "Stuttering" are now known to a much larger population than you would expect because of it.
