Is “GUTS” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stripped”?

Featured Replies

It’s not quite her “Oops, I Did It Again”, but…

The album showcases her coming into her own as a woman and a musician, exploring relatively different styles and sounds.

She‘s more confident, out-spoken and brash in her personality.

The critical acclaim is also strong and universally rounded.

I expect we’ll get her “Fighter/Can’t Hold Us Down” soon.

not really lmao?? christina during stripped was older and tbh the themes off it are much more mature and sexual than anything guts provided. hell some ppl are even arguing guts is more childlike than sour was. ofc its not but both bodies of work are so different throughly

guts is olivia saying goodbye to her teenage years

Xtina only can wish to release something as good as GUTS.

She's released better, it's called Stripped.

No, Stripped had maturity and emotional substance.

If anything, it's more comparable to Under My Skin.

Both are great albums but I don’t think they’re really comparable in terms of both sound and theme.

If I had to compare it to another artist it would be Under My Skin, as Olivia and Avril were pretty much the same age when they both released their sophomore albums and they felt darker / filled with more angst than their debuts.

So maybe this means Olivia’s TBDT era is next? :WAP:

Her “Girlfriend”, the most consumed single of 2026, is coming…

guts is only standing out because it's not what the popgirls of the last 15 years have been delivering.

That doesn't mean it's better.

Actually, those who enjoy it... good for them...

I never even got the hype about this girl in the first place, but this album is the proof that you only need the 'idea of being big' to be big these days.

No. Did ‘Stripped’ get massive acclaim and spawn a #1 hit? Didn’t think so!
