One of the most underappreciated teen pop albums

Really love this album & era. It’s soo strange how she jumped ship after just two singles. This era deserved soo much more. It’s like Demi wasn’t taking anything seriously during this time.

Got the wrong song. Was listening to Neon Lights. 

Skyscraper was such a collapse when it came out omg, one of the best pop songs by a teen 

 

And "Give Your Heart a Break" is pop perfection, she snapped

My Love Is Like A Star is a highlight of hers. Haven’t heard it in YEARS and still just as good.

It's so sad Demi basically hates this album because it's so full of gems like this one!

Such a good album, Only Forever is still one of my favourite songs off that album. 

Girl between this and “Say 3 nice things about ME!”, has taste left the building today?

Sadly this has always been my least fav Demi album. HOWEVER, it had some incredible highs:

 

-Fix a Heart

-Unbroken

-Give Your Heart a Break

-Skyscraper 

-My Love is Like a Star

-For the Love of a Daughter

 

still can’t believe someone saved this era (and potentially Demi’s career) by releasing GYHAB instead of WTB. Maybe we can thank Dev since she got pregnant 

Her best album and looking at the trajectory, it’ll remain that way…

What album was it from   I think it's because I have them all on CD but that song wasn't on any of them.

She was under Hollywood Records at the time and they’re so bad at managing their artists and releasing more than two singles from an album. Demi (the album) was one of the few albums at that label that went beyond two singles. 

 

Unbroken should have definitely been a single. I loved Who’s That Boy but I can’t help but to think how unexpected it was to have it canceled as a single and then have GYHAB smash and serve longevity 

 

I always loved this album so much even though I get the criticism. I get it’s not very cohesive but I love the wide range of sounds.

I personally don’t think so. That was the time of EDM and dance pop. R&B and ballads were definitely dead at that point. Skyscraper even struggled on pop radio despite having so much hype and good sales because radio just wasn’t playing ballads at the time

 

It’s a massive fan favorite so at least it has that going for it and Demi loves it and I think she’s performed it recently too

i always disliked Skyscraper but Lightweight is that song
