Selena Gomez - "Single Soon"

Featured Replies

The song is highkey futuristic sounding production wise but is structured/planned out to sound like a 2017 pop girl bop, it's unique :WAP:

Some promo :clap3:I'm glad she's doing radios again.

Edited by qwerty123123

Loved all the radio interviews. Sounds like "no sad songs" was the message for this little run.

It's not the first time she's mentioned the amount of unreleased music she has. I wonder if she's planning something special for the future with those songs.

#21 in the UK, just missed the Top 20 :swing:

Noooo:rip:

You guys think it can hit top 20 in UK:chick3:

This probably would've been a hit for her during 2015-2017, but it just feels that there's no space for that sound in the US music landscape anymore. Her team should focus on make this a payola'd european radio hit, those markets are more likely to eat this up, and then move on to the real lead single.

True!

Europe loves Songs like this on Radio! She could be so big here in Austria/Germany but her Team never did a real good payola promo in Europe :rip:

why?

Saturday's update of last week was the big deal

new songs already came out yesterday.

So in my opinion today's update was the big deal and numbers looks fine.

I am lowkey scared of Gracie influence on this album, she needs to understand her target is not her sister nor people of her age, and although I stream Single Soon and consider it a cute song it is still miles away of what she can do and having the "I Feel Pretty" reference and quite scared tbh

Cause it is still considered a new song and it tends to go down during the weekend, hopefully not enough to quick it from TOP 50.

How did it held better than Miley's when Miley is receiving almost 500k streams more

Because Miley lost more streams and dropped more in positions. I’m the US, Selena gained a few streams while Miley lost some.

Miley lost more streams even Single Soon being the most affected by the lose of playlists's covers and #1 spots (since Single Soon was ahead of UTBY in almost every big playlist). SS was expected to be more affected since it lost more exposure than UTBY

I respect it but im not scared, she has freedom but she also has a record label so its somewhat a “controlled freedom” afterall its business. and she does care about what her fans think otherwise she would’ve released “I Feel pretty”

i saw the interview and i think Gracie influence will be only the fact that its all upbeat, she’s not going to release kids bopz relax

Im scared to celebrate it cuz all the time i celebrate something with “single soon” the next day is terrible, so without celebrating it: solid Hold today for a saturday, both radio and spotify. Rolling effect on radio was as minimal as it could possible be! and it almost didnt lose streams on Spotify for a saturday.

but god im not celebrating im just writing facts please

lets see if the update will be stable as well today <3

:(

She should go on a radio promo tour, like she did for Rare Beauty, in Europe to promote this.

She said she doesn't care about the chart performance but the label does, in fact they're playlisting and pushing on radio. She can't shoot anything at the moment or promote OMITB and the album is quite done.

Not a promo tour with a crazy schedule only some interviews with radios, especially in UK, and then take some time off to relax and do some trips with friends. It sounds something smart for the song but not too busy for her
