Why are Lana stans and the GP only streaming her discography from the 2010s? Her new album doing 2m already, BB and Chemtrails TANKING  

Why is that? Why are the public not here for new music from Lana? Discuss…

ppl go back to their old stuff after listening to their new stuff for a bit

I mean the GP (aside from her fanbase and music stans) only knows her songs that go viral on TikTok, i doubt they even know she has a new album out

But people are not listening to her new stuff, that’s the point  3/5 of her 2010’s albums are outstreaming her latest release.

It’s cuz those were her best albums

people say Born to die and Ultraviolence are overrated…. But they clearly shaped the landscape of contemporary pop music. 

NFR was released in late 2019. DYK did good numbers for her in the US, rivaled her numbers from 2014 (IIRC, I'm not obsessed with numbers and charts like that), and she literally makes 5-6 minute ballads, please troll with someone less talented cause I'm not having this

 

Now back to the miserable hole you crawled out of sis 

not really. Born To Die is her magnum opus and will go down in history as THE lana del rey album despite NFR! being her most acclaimed, BTD is outdoing it by miles.

BB and Chemtrails had 0 (zero) promo, and she’s deleted all her social media currently. She’s lucky so much of her music catches on effortlessly w the GP (including her most recent 2023 release, Say Yes to Heaven). Not everyone has that, so do better OP

I'm gonna say no. 

 

I listened to BTD (song) for the first time in full a couple weeks ago and the song doesn't sound like anything that came out in 2012. The production on the song also compliments Lana's voice well too.

 

I think people are just realizing that BTD, which is more production driven, suits Lana better than the ballads that she does a dime a dozen most of the other times.

It's delusion and bitterness, not "it's TikTok", when her leaked songs have had millions of views on YouTube before that apps inception, it's hateration. It's okay to stan sis

Modery day iconic classic debut album, not everybody has that, and it's literally currently outcharting some favorite trendy albums and artists right now. Everyone needs to know, Lana would have obliterated their faves 5x under like Taylor had she cared to keep a more accessible sound. She chose music, not the bling, truly. It needs to be studied!

For ME. YES. That’s the only album I use and I listen to it everyday or some of the songs at least since it came out. Such an iconic and perfect album. 

when i think throwback act, i think gwen stefani...

 

ldr is obviously still relevant in music, let's be honest..

truly the dark horse of pop music. started as panned and hated, joked and laughed at, but with time proved everyone wrong and they came back crawling like the rats they are to appreciate how amazing this album is. the true ******* were there with her in 2011 and 2012. the success girlies switched after NFR, but the GP knew it all along and that's why Born To Die was a success in Europe back in 2012 having 3 top 10 hits in the UK for example. the "high art pop" crowd truly needed a decade to appreciate her music, sigh.

Leaked in 2016. Officially released a long ass time after going viral, and she ultimately (mostr likely) released it due to conversations happening within the fanbase, and new information about the song coming out.

The UK always knew. I think Americans are just so stuck up their own asses and have so many hang-ups, they had to tear her down because the talentry was far too much to process for the American masses. But you're so right, she really got the last laugh in the end, I mean Radio did 100M streams that's insane, I remember streaming it on loop back in 2012.....still one of my favorites too. She truly is the most talented singer-songwriter to come out of the 2010s and still remains a staple in her field now. A lot of these girls wish they can have an era like Born To Die which absolutely killed it in every metric: quality, lyricism, imagery, visuals, performance, reception (literal, literal think pieces off this one debut album, that got way too deep, but that's IMPACT) I mean, what else is there to say. 

 

The fact that she went on to release even BETTER material after Born To Die is the icing on the cake for me.

Yet most of her 2010’s albums are already outstreaming it? Why is that?

Chemtrails is a country-ish album and Blue Banisters was an album even she admited she didn't want people to listen to. And both had zero promo.

 

Ocean Blvd is doing fine considering it's not really a commercial album. She's doing more than fine.

she literally created an ENTIRE UNIVERSE with this era. the music videos were so rich, deep and emotional. the songs were BOPPING AND they were hitting hard. she was both sad and badass. we ******* stan a ******* legend and we will be always proud of THEEE songwriter of 2010s & 2020s
