Her and Halle were just starting to get the internet on their side with their creative promo of Ungodly Hour during the pandemic. While separating so quickly wasn't the best decision, she could've kept the casual fans on her side had she ventured further into that sound before going commercial. She changed too much too soon. 

I don't get why she snubbed Have Mercy and Treat Me on the album since they all fit the album sonically, plus they would have been the album's highlights and would ramp up a 4/10 album to a 7/10

She followed the Tinashe-print but forgot to bring quality music. 

Lack of a clear artistic identity. She feels very contrived.

 

She’s talented for sure — the goods are there, but she’s underdeveloped.

Thank you! This is the only correct answer. She simply went solo too soon. She should have just taken a break until this year! Maybe do random songs for soundtracks. 
 

For C&H 3 the anticipation would be strong with it being 3 years. Releasing Q3-4

The label waited too long to release the album  I feel like it would've done better around Have Mercy or even Treat Me. It seems like they just put it out randomly with no hype or promo around it — so how are people even supposed to know its out?

And Rihanna supported Chris well after the fact. Chloe was the minor when Chris' biggest offense was commented in 2009. You can't hold her moreso accountable over an entire generation of women and men who didn't. Period. 

by not release deluxe with all scrapped songs and previous singles yet. THAT would turn things around

I gotta say also, a lot of the songs, it always seems like something is missing, I mean yeah she’s got all these vocals thingies and all these auto tunes belts but something is missing in the production as well…

the difference is, Tinashe has quality music and her debut sold twice as much (and that was back in 2014)
