Looking at the number race for number one, the competitors are songs that came out months ago vs a random country song and a random K-pop song. 

 

Summer is approaching quickly, and no one seems to be releasing anything. Olivia, Cardi, Dua, Rih, Bey pt 2, Billie, Doja, etc. 

 

The competition is pretty weak right now, especially after Ed’s abysmal performance with his new song.

Recession + inflation.

It was the same thing last year, with Stay, Heat Waves and WDTAB hogging the charts for months. Hopefully things will pick up during April and May because things are DRY for pop right now. Just [insert decade here] nostalgia, lazy interpolations and vibes.

Gaga and Rih went to other ventures and set the trend of no one wanting to do music anymore

We are not even in April yet. Some of the women you listed are going to release new music for sure. Others like Rihanna or Beyoncé looks more like wishful thinking.
