It’s been almost 3 years since ‘Smile’ 

 

is it time for her to release the next album and will she this year?

 

And while we are at it what do you guys think the sound and concept will be?

I think she will in the late summer/early fall. As for the sound and concept? I have no clue but maybe this will be the era she goes completely adult pop with an indie-leaning sound and aesthetic.

The answer is: maybe. 

But she is clearly enjoying her motherhood, I doubt she will check on to new recording sessions. 

It seems that it might be happening sooner than expected! 

 

Anyways for concept, I would like something dark-pop serious like "Dance with the devil" 

Quit Idol, Vegas and shoes or keep it 

She's at the point of her career where she doesn't need to worry about a successful era and just worry about releasing a good material, so yeah, why not? 

Her a star is born is coming

She should try to have her “Plastic Hearts” or “Folklore” type moment with this album. 

She better feed the gays , so please full uptempo songs !!  Feed us Mother 

Whatever it is, can it just please be cohesive and have a concept. I would love for her to pick a specific sound/genre and theme and go all in on it. Smile was a step in the right direction in terms of a cohesive sound, and Witness had a great concept and theme. I would really love to see her showcase her artistry (whatever that may be) and not just her typical mish-mash of singles that sound nothing alike and a second half full of ballads. Katy please I'm begging you!

Exactly. I thought it was so odd that NRO and HIH had a very specific asethetic, even logo, that were completely disjointed from the rest of Smile. Then there was Daises which was also different
