It's far from my favorite of hers but I'd say her biggest classic, for the GP, is Like a Prayer.

Also Like a Virgin.

And for the gays, it's Vogue.

Into The Groove - through Vogue or Like A Prayer is close.

Hung Up for young Millennials

LAP or La Isla Bonita

the classic that i would like to vote for is not in this lineup.  :coffee:

whatever wins - just look at the list, all classics in their own way

(voted Into The Groove tho, cause it's one of the greatest pop songs ever)

They play Holiday everywhere, in Supermarkets at stores in elevators. It's Holiday for the GP. I can't believe I'm the only one who voted for it.

But for us Gays probably Vogue and for Madonna fans in general I'd say LAP.

Its a battle between Like A Prayer, Like A Virgin and Material Girl.

Argue with the wall and bring up stats or whatever but the 'like a vEHrgin *moans' one liner is something EVERYONE recognizes, they may have never heard of the song but they KNOW its from a song, that alone puts it above almost every hit there.

Like a Prayer, is more of an artpop moment, the 'when you call my name its like little prayer', the choir chanting is a public STAPLE.

Material Girl. What else is there? That was THEE Madonna moniker, she IS the material girl, for better or for worse, its also the biggest Madonna song among the Gen Z crowd. Its the most referenced Madonna song in popular culture, the intro synths and drums are ICONIC.

For the Vogue fans, I think its 4th place. It WAS the biggest song of 1990 but I think its longevity in the public presence is outshined by the other 3, not a lot of mainstream pop culture pieces use Vogue the song as a statement piece (Vogue the magazine is in many ways at fault).

its between Like a Prayer and Vogue, and I voted for Vogue.

I hear Material Girl mostly and sometimes La Isla

LAP is an abomination that plays on 80s Karen radio sis :rip:

she may have technically have bigger songs but Like A Prayer will forever represent Madonna at the peak her powers.
