BP renewed with YG for group activities, so they’ll be obligated to remain active as blackpink. Since it’s the only way YG will be able to make profit of them.

If we go by other groups extensions, it usually around 1-2 years and within that time frame a number of albums must be fulfilled. I doubt the new agencies would sign a member just to let them do group activities for YG right away, each member must be preparing their own projects and maybe agreed to a group comeback very late into 2024 with no specific date.

 

In a way it will feel like a soft disband, only twice and red velvet remain as a female 3rd gen active group

As someone already said though it’s 10x harder to schedule a group comeback when everyone is in different agencies. 
 

SNSD have stated this multiple times. It took ages for them to plan their 15th anniversary comeback. 
 

YG can barely get something scheduled knowing all their activities from managing them.

True but in their case it’s even harder since half the group has no contract with SM (correct me if I’m wrong), so they're not obligated to anything?

They’re not but technically BP likely didn’t sign a contract stating they’re obligated either. Just that YG still owns BP brand and trademark so if the girls want to continue benefitting from that, they need to utilize YG. I doubt any of the girls at this point could be forced to do a comeback.

yes they’re no way a BP comeback is coming before the solos now 

but I do see one last comeback/tour

The difference might be, that before, YG didn't have to care. They had the girls' individual endorsement deals and brand partnerships that brought in money and kept stocks high.

With the girls and GD gone, they will have to do something to stay afloat.

 

We don't know what their group contract looks like. It's possible they agreed to do one album every two years like they did before.

 

I don't expect another real world tour though, if they tour at all. Probably just Seoul, Paris, London, L.A. (NYC) & Bangkok. Maybe Mexico/Brasil and Australia.
