It couldn't be more obvious Jinni was fired. A few days before the departure's announcement she was on bubble talking about comeback preparations (Love Me Like This) with fans and they were in the middle of year-end schedules.

 

Why would someone voluntarily leave in agreement with the Company in the middle of prepared schedules? They would at least finishing what they set responsabilities to participate.

That part really shocked me too. I can't even imagine how stressed the girls were when they had to redo all their preparations, dances, rerecordings for year-end award shows

If Jinni's leaving was her own choice, that would be very disrespectful and nasty, like at least wait till you're done with all the perfomances and schedules... 

 

Giving how sudden her departure was, it must've been the company's decision and something really urgent must have happened to kick her out without even waiting for the end of their schedules.

I'm kinda happy aespa won't get their full album until next year. I think SM are trying to create some completely new songs for the full album that weren't heard at the shows. It's gonna be iconic.

like you just don’t get kicked out and sign with a newly created company (for her?) within a year

not to mention she had a collab with an american rapper on her debut single + the EP was distributed in US with an exclusive version on target– not even IVE has that

i think there was a disagreement between her and JYP on when she would leave though

plus she is most likely not allowed to talk about it legally

I think JInni was approached by this label + some discussions already going on. But JYP found out about it and decided to kick her out right away 

I guess JYP didn't like the fact that Jinni wanted to leave and just fired her after her parents told them that? She probably thought that would be her last comeback with the group but they were like "just leave already, we don't have time for that"
