Edit: there is a whole story about the lawsuit between her and the landlord ( @Zack) might be able to explain,, but the fact that her team and the landlord didn't try to settle their discord with one another during the whole lawsuit means, a she (her team & her) wanted to parted ways with them and relocate but badly handled it, I mean you can disclose those information without having these bad press coming to you or b the landlord already had a new tenant in mind or received an offer from another party (which wouldn't be surprising there was a case like that when a brand bought and rented all the good places in France and buried another brand which was up and coming and later that brand ended buying the up and coming brand when they didn't have ressources because losing costumers).

Honestly I am so SICK of these Korean news agencies always spinning the story against her to make it seem like she's a fraud and failure.

 

They left the restaurant in April and later the clothes store because the landlord wasn't agreeing to fix issues within the building, including a faulty elevator which was affecting business. So in the end, B&E the company said "fix these issues, or we're not paying rent/leaving". They didn't fix the issues, so B&E didn't pay the rent in protest and decided to leave, but then the landlord went to court. That part is badly handled because B&E should have given notice to leave sooner, instead of waiting it out, but they were probably trying to avoid anything where the press could spin it. But obviously it doesn't matter what Jessica and the company does, they are always trying to bring it down.

 

She literally has 7 stores open in China (including a 2nd one in Bejiing on the way because the first one was so successful), there's obviously no issues with money/investment. I feel so bad for her having to deal with this nonsense repeatedly. Apparently, they are going to counter-sue the landlord
