This is so weird. It feels label interfered.

I'd also like to point out this song is from 2018 when RAYE was writing Normani's feature verses on Body Count remix and Swing. In the time it has taken for Raye's album to see a release, Normani still hasn't even started her album campaign yet 

It's so concerning how Normani's career has gone.

it’s concerning and “embarrassing” at the same time… her team is awful

Her team told Anne-Marie (who ended up going with Doja), The Chainsmokers, AND Dua Lipa that she was going for a more Urban sound at the time and these pop collabs would wreck her strategic market footing. (*Stares at "Dancing With A Stranger & Motivation*) All of these failed collabs would've made needed inroads in Pop Radio & UK Radio, and boosted "Wild Side" to the Top 10 first-week when it was released. Now she's losing out on hip-hop hooks to Chlöe as well.

 

She also lost out on Selena Gomez "Ring" due to her inability to lock down tracks for her debut. It seems like she just has constellations of tracks/singles circling her at all times, but no 20-25 track shortlist.

It's really sad how they let her hype die and there's no efforts to keep her visible. I respect the initiative to to label her as a well needed new it girl in R&B but their approach seems more of a pipe dream with no active efforts to realize it.

Never seen an artist and their team **** up so bad consistently.
