yeah, on TTH. but i think IDW was also on TTH. And OMG. Or maybe it varied from country to country.

But the UK seems to like I Drink Wine. It peaked at #4 in the album release week. And now it's coming up again.

The video release helped the album already.

Proper radio play would help even more.

And ofc the Vegas residency is coming later this month.

The UK and Ireland seem to like this song

Let's look at this way, for example if:

 

Before:

EOM is doing 5M streams | OMG is doing 2M streams | All other album tracks (10) are doing 500k streams

=> streams of EOM and OMG got neutralized to the average of the other tracks (500k), so in total 500k x 12 tracks = 6M streams are counted towards the charts

 

After IDW is released:

EOM is doing 5M streams | IDW is doing 3M streams | OMG is doing 2M streams | All other album tracks (9) are doing 500k streams

=> streams of EOM and IDW got neutralized to the average of the other tracks (650k), so in total 650k x 2 + 2M + 500k x 9 = 7.8M streams are counted towards the chats

It did wonders for the album in the UK, her album jumped 28 places.

 

Whenever she does something simple the results are reflected right away.

Yeah it makes a big difference in the UK. The Swifties were trying to say that I'm making excuses when I said this before but f*ck me was I right. You see it play out now.

It's helping the album a bit, but as a single, no. It needs radio play so bad.

 

In the UK the radio has started to spin it and that shows in the charts. And it's #52 on UK Shazam, so people seem to like it when they hear it on the radio and they point their phone to it to discover the song.

Jesus I understood that but it looks kind of shady ?

Why didn't they send it to radio in the US? How expensive can it be?

That's why Ed's album had a great chart run in the UK. He has released like 7 singles including a Christmas song with Elton John

It's frustrating that they've bungled this era at every turn. The music is so good and deserves more.

 

Please tell me this is fake and not the real radio edit  it doesn't even have the "soak up wine" line and the song is called I Drink Wine. And the second chorus and bridge are completely missing It definitely needs a radio edit because even without the spoken word outro the song would still be nearly 5 minutes long. It's just a shame that the verses have to be sacrificed. Every lyric is important to the message she's conveying, it sounds incomplete with missing verses.

No, the radio edit is 4:40. But I fear that's still too long for the US market.
