Yup...we're old af.

17 years ago Madonna took the world by storm and Hung Up hit #1 in virtually everywhere in the world, excluding the New Zealand, Greece and Ireland (#2), Japan's main charts (#59, but #1 in the international chart) and USA which was in no mood for a dance song to become a hit.

 

Yet it managed to peak at #7 for 2 weeks back in 2005:

An iconic track. I still remember watching her 20006 Grammy performance and being happy that Mariah and Madonna were just producing excellent music decades into their careers. And Madonna with that metallic lavender leotard and the Farrah Fawcett hairdo was so perfectly fresh and throwback at the same time.
