Also, I think Toxic was something that started with the sample. On an interview, Bloodshy says he was playing with these Bollywood string samples and he came up with the arrangement.

Thank you for this, very interesting read. Poor Kylie, I always heard that she rejected the song but she actually just responded too late. But the song fits Britney's voice better imo so it ultimately went to the right person.

 

I can't believe Janet refused it, it could've been the perfect "comeback" song for her, especially after the SuperBowl scandal.

Tbh i feel kylie has the perfect vocals for toxic. Did britneys team fight to keep "get outta my way" but kylie took it instead?
