Hi guys.

 

For some reason I had the intense urge to watch the Pussycat Dolls' React music video again, and wow was I not disappointed. The song is a total bop, a very clever reimagining of the Dolls' 2000s bad girl image in a 2020s context that avoids sounding cringe or dated. It's an absolute earworm, and apart from the stuttered vocal chops in the drop, it hasn't aged a day.

 

As for the video, the choreography is incredible, and all of the Dolls looked so stunning. The incorporation of the different effects worked in tandem with the girls' risque routine really well and elevated what could've been yet another boring pop video to truly godly levels. It's an incredible marriage of sex appeal, charisma, and raw talent. The fact that the dolls were in their late thirties to mid forties yet looked and danced better than girls half their age is a testament to how good of a video it is.

edit: Just rewatched it - we need more pop girls in their 40’s out there. I wish the PCDs could have had a true reunion, but Covid ruined it. This was an effortless slay.

I cannot believe they dropped this banger, great promo, MV and then just fell apart . 

Her being around as long as she has and out did literally all the MPG’s with this damn single song is insane  it deserved better 

Amazing comeback. I will never forget robin for ruining this comeback. Wish they released a dance practice video for react like those kpop groups.

So funny, 10 minutes ago I had just made a list of my top 10 favorite songs of all time and I included that bop

Could have been even better if they had an actual budget to work with.

I wasn't sure how necessary a PCD comeback would be in the 2020s, but if they were planning on serving visuals and bops like they did their heyday even now, I would've been 100% on their side.

React 100% proved they are still capable of doing so... such a damn shame the drama with Robin has prevented them from continuing to serve

This really felt like that bridge song from Doll Domination to the new era. It really felt like the next single was gonna be huge and people would remember PCD after 5H disbanded. The timing was so right plus their tour was doing well.
