I believe monarchies are better for society. 
Obviously they’re all from the family line, so they have more on the line and care about their reputation.
 

Because of this, theoretically they should have better intentions than typical democratic politicians, whose main goal is to get rich while they’re in office so they can not worry about life once they’re out of office. 

Since monarch families are already rich, they have nothing to gain but prestige and the positive opinion from the people.

People who worship the monarchy are very odd. Most European monarchies are just figureheads though that cut ribbons and don’t have any political involvement hence why most people don’t care that much.

but even if they did, from a philosophical point of view having a royal family is deeply undemocratic and toxic, there is no good reason to privilege one family over everyone else on the basis of birthright, it's such a backwards mindset. idk why you feel the need to lick the royal family's boots, they literally don't care about you, this is what i don't get. 

 

but i'm glad you are honest about not caring about equality, at least we see the type of person you are. i personally am more likely to lose my job and become poor than i am to become a royal (which is literally impossible since it's hereditary) so if i have to choose yes i would rather have a safety net for the poor than support rich parasites who haven't done anything for anyone in their lives.

The concept/philosophy of monarchy is so stupid. Why should someone get so many privileges and so much power/money just because they their parents happened to be royalty. Their wealth or status is not based on any hard work or talent. Just..luck? 

It's quite funny how many people say that the royal family doesn't have any power. They don't have power in the same way as in the past obviously, but they still have so many privileges and they do so many shady things behind the scenes.

no babe you can't... like, that's literally the definition of a monarchy, it's a hereditary line of rule. even if they don't have that much power, having an unelected head of state is undemocratic no matter which way you slice it. not to mention that even if a monarch may not have the power to force legislation, but they can still lobby lawmakers and influence public opinion, they hold a lot of soft power still. 

 

anyway I was mostly talking about the UK, which also has the House of Lords as the upper chamber of the parliament, which is another unelected government body so that in combination with the queen makes the UK 'democracy' a joke to me
