I'm glad you peeped that. From the first listen, the song's tempo/production reminded of 2015 Melanie Martinez. Overall, it kinda reminds me of ''Mad Hatter'' from her Cry Baby album. 

 

I think ''Boyfriend'' was 100 % Billie (All The Good Girls Go The Hell) and now ''Breakfast'' is very Melanie. Maybe the third single will be Lorde influenced  !

She’s got a presave for a new single up, seems like this was just a promo single.

I can see her dropping the next song end of August / early September.

A music video is finally coming out ‘soon’. I really do not understand the point but ok.

 

I thought she’d been shelved by Columbia tbh because there hasn’t been any album news since like April/May. But she’s still in the studio a lot at the moment (it’s just whether Columbia will let her release anything).

I literally heard this song for the first time in 1.1x speed and mistakenly thought that was the original... the actual tempo is too slow ma'am. This would've been the 1000x more bop it is to me with a higher tempo.

 

The video is a SLAAYAYYYY though.

Also was looking for a video thread on this song but didn't find it so

I’ve been obsessed with this ever since the video came out.

I stumbled across the music video for this the other day and now I'm obsessed. I hadn't heard the song prior to that. This deserves to smash.
