No rate where you have to narrow down someone's entire discography to single-digit selections is ever going to make everyone happy

Won't reveal too much just yet because I need to work on an OP/some reveal posts so there could still be a couple last-minute changes but are you into music in languages you don't speak? Especially music by pop divas of varying degrees of talent?

Let's hope anyone whose girl is being represented here doesn't feel the same about my picks for them then. I did as much research as I could (some quick Google searches and a little polling)

 

I hope they don't boycott the J-Pop rate, though, my sister worked really hard on it. Not his fault some girls are just not Crystal Kay or Double just have weak discographies

 

Some people feel really passionate about their divas, I guess. I do, too, though I can also see that stacking the picks with only the best stuff can be disingenuous. Some artists are organically good, so no matter what you pick, it's likely to hit. Some need work and combing through their stuff, and while I enjoy doing that, personally, a hidden gem or two may not be an accurate representation of one's discography.

I wish there was a non-English version of the song contest, too. I didn't even get a chance to send an Asian grandma due to getting eliminated with Tori Amos.

I think Anri is the only non-English lady who does consistently well there, which is good news, because I'm planning to include her in the upcoming rate, despite the fact that it took her like 10 albums to qualify.

I thought so too but I just got test results and it's medial meniscus injury which usually needs to be operated

I haven't participated in a song contest, but that sounds exactly like something I would do and something that would happen to me...
