I don't know about making you sick but when I brought up installing it many years ago, I was told that it was going to cost a fortune and require some sort of permit because my building is 'historic', they're renovating the exterior now and removing absolutely everything + fining people who didn't get any permits. I'm personally fine with just a fan.

I mean if it's turned on for a long period of time and on low temperature you can get a cold yes. Unless you're referring to something else?
